The board is the whole workspace: To do is nobody's yet, In progress is somebody's, Done is finished. Drag a card to pick work up or to finish it. The list answers the other question — one person, one week, what is late.
Type "send the invoice friday" and it becomes a task due Friday. The date is read from what you typed and shown back before anything is saved, so you never open a picker or trust a guess.
