Frequently asked questions
What counts as an AI interaction?
Each time you use an AI feature — drafting a reply, rewriting a message, or summarizing a thread — that's one interaction. The Free plan includes 10 per day. Your count resets at midnight UTC.
What happens when I reach my daily limit on the Free plan?
AI features (drafting, summarization) pause until your count resets the next day. Core email — reading, sending, organizing — is never affected. Upgrade to Pro for managed AI access without a daily cap.
How does the Unlimited plan work?
With the Unlimited plan, Issary uses the AI provider API key you supply for all AI calls. You pay your provider directly for usage, and there's no daily cap from us. Your key is stored securely and used only for your requests. This plan is designed for users who already manage their own AI access.
Which AI providers does the Unlimited plan support?
Any compatible AI provider or self-hosted model that supports our tooling. Provider-agnostic by design — you're not locked into any one service.
Is my data private?
Issary is local-first: your emails are stored on your device, not our servers. AI calls on Free and Pro plans go through our secure Cloud Function proxy, which forwards your request without logging message content. We never store or read your email content.
